Are you proud of your natural skin tone?

Is there anyone out there who is not afraid to go out in the skin they were born with? I am very fair skinned, and I refuse to tan or use fake tanners. I wish others could be confident with themselves. It makes me frustrated when people burn there skin to a crisp or use bleaching creams. Is there anyone who feels this way, too?

I'm very, very fair...and look cheesy with a fake tan, then when it fades I look cheesy and blotchy...so I quit.





I used to get teased about my skin when I was younger, and still do occasionally. Screw them. I'm not going to go outside and fry myself, or apply DHA every two days to please them.





When I go to the beach near my hometown, it's great. The sand is as white as my skin, but I go all out in a nice, rich-toned bikini. Sometimes I get comments or stares, but mostly I get smiles! I believe It really is all in how you carry yourself.





...And it's completely frustrating that most cannot accept their own skin tones, and seem to long after the same orangey Barbie look. Come on...everyone is beautiful in their own way, if only they would let themselves be!

I'm lighter than everyone in my family and they always make fun of me for it but I don't really care.

Reply:I am very very pale. I have black hair and blue eyes and I have skin the color of porcelain. People tease me because I am so pale, but I prefer it this way. I will never go to a fake bake or use sunless tanners because 2 people in my family have gotten skin cancer by tanning. It's not worth it, plus my husband loves my look as it is.
Reply:yep. i don't care if people fake tan, but i find it absurdly funny when the people end up orange, and think they look so great! lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply:Well I am black, and its nice I like it. I hate when I get darker though.
