Oily skin problem?

it is so annoying that i have oily skin. no one in my family has this problem except me. i wash my face every day twice, in the morning and at night with warm water. after i wash my face, i put my acne medication that my doctor told me to use and then i put cream on my face. my face turns oily like every hour and when it does, i use an oil wipe to take it off. it is annoying especially when i'm at school or when i have to go somewhere because i always have to go to the bathroom every chance i get to take off the oil. what can i do to not have an oily face?

i eat healthy and i drink lots of water everyday. the face wash i use is called oil-free acne wash by neutrogena and the cream i use is called complete all day moisture cream SPF 15 normal by olay. i have no acne on my face. i know that the face wash is not causing the problem because i have tried other face wash products and my face still turns oily after an hour or so. i went a day without putting the cream and still oil

Oily skin problem?
Neutrogena sucks, I have oily skin to and I use this stuff I get from Sephora called boscia combination skin wash. It has made all the difference and it's all natural, with no harsh chemicals. They also have these little papers that blot oil off your face. The problem with most face washes for oily skin is that they try to dry your face up with alchohol or harsh chemicals. Then your face fights back by producing more oil. So I would suggest using natural botanical products that work with your skin, not against it. I like bare naturals, boscia, and arbonne.
Reply:get luke warm water and dip your face in it with a towel over the back of your head the transfer with the towel still on to cool water not cold
Reply:Well i think this is just a thing that you go through when you are a teen. My advice would be to stop using the moisturizer for like a week and if that doesn't work go to a dermatoligist. In my experiences moisturizers make my face break out and also make my face super oily. I would say to stop use immediately.
Reply:i use marykay skin wash for normal to oily skin. u only need a tiny bit of it so the bottle lasts forever. it has helped so far where nothing else has for my skin. the moisturizer may be too much for your skin as well. also, the more i wash my face, the more oily it becomes. maybe only wash it twice each day. the acne medication may not be helping either. you may be going through a hormone change. i did when i was in high school, but that went away. some natural makeups can help absorb the oil as well. good luck!
Reply:u should get an astringent. It sucks up all the oil. It sorta stings but that's how u kno it's working
Reply:You might have extra oily skin.

You shouldn't over-wash your face because your body is only going to produce more oil to make up for what you wipe away, but some people do need to wash more than twice a day due to the excess oil. I see a lot of girls with oily skin though -- its something you have to go through growing up I guess. Just wipe or dip your face in/with water and avoid using the cleansers more than twice a day ( it can over-dry and possibly burn your skin after a while ).
Reply:I got really oily skin too. Ive never found a cure, but one thing that does help is washing w/ mild soap. When i was like 16 the derm. gave me all these prescriptions, and told me to buy certain "dermatologist approved" products. In the long run none of them work.

Someone told me that all those specially made stuff interact w/ ur skins natural ability keep balanced. So like they work for a little bit but then your skin trys to fight it off and makes more oil.

They suggested using mild white soap, like ivory. Cuz the soap drys your skin out %26amp; kills bacteria w/ out making it all peely %26amp; red. Use like a regular moisturizer not a neutrogena one...as long as its oil free. I think the olay ones are too oily and slick. Cuz we dont need more moisture, we got natural moisture. Eventhough you dont have acne try something w/ salicylic acid cuz it keeps ur face dry.

And if you wear makeup try Bare Minerals cuz its the shiiiiit. and they have a moisturizer that helps w/ the oil control 2 and its not even intended 2. %26amp; theres those clean %26amp; clear oil blotters or u can use toilet paper or whatever.
Reply:Wash your face two or three times a day with a mild cleanser that does not include perfumes or additives. Keep your skin very clean, but do not scrub too hard.

Use an oil-free moisturizer and cosmetics.

Use a clay-based face mask two or three times a week.

Choose products containing alpha-hydroxy acids, which remove dead cells and give skin a smoother appearance.

Mash up a small amount of papaya for your own fruit acid mask. Smear it on your skin, leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse.

Steam your skin several times a week. Add chamomile, lavender oil or dried herbs such as rosemary, parsley or thyme to the water.

Keep your skin hydrated by drinking at least eight glasses of water a day.

Reduce fats and oils in your diet. Increase your intake of fresh vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

Watch your sun exposure. Although the sun may seem to dry your skin, too much heat actually stimulates the production of more oil.

Supplement your diet with B-complex vitamins, vitamin A, vitamin C, zinc and vitamin E. You can also take a high-potency multivitamin.

Make your own facial scrub by mixing 2 tbsp. almond meal with 1 tbsp. ground lemon rind and 1 tbsp. powdered milk.

Make your own clay mask by mixing green clay powder with water or honey and applying it to your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse.

homemade remedies:

For oily skin - Milk of Magnesia is wonderful for people with oily skin and it’s simple to use. Just rub it thoroughly on the face and keep it on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Apply raw, grated carrots to the face while lying down, a little lemon juice may also be added.

1/2 cucumber

1 Tbsp plain yogurt

Puree cucumber in blender. Mix in yogurt, apply to face. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse well.

Massage a small amount of slightly heated honey into skin.

Wheat germ may be added for its abrasive action, protein and nutrients.

Squeeze half a lemon and mix the juice with one beaten egg white. Apply to face avoiding the area around the eyes.

Leave on your face overnight or if during the day, for about 15 minutes.

Rinse with warm water.

Make a creamy paste of oatmeal and water. Apply to face and let dry completely.

Remove by very gently rubbing off with your fingers.

hope that helped =)
