Vaseline As A Cold Cream?!?

Ive heard some people use vaseline as a cold cream(overnight use).

Does it really work?

Can it break your skin out?

Is it absorbed into your skin?

Vaseline As A Cold Cream?!?
Vaseline is a petroleum that is occlusive which means it sits on top of your skin but does not absorb. It wasn't made for cleansing our skin. It is used to cover or protect burns or cuts and to shine shoes. Since our skin and body is made up of water, vaseline is not attracted to water.
Reply:Vaseline is very greasy and can make your skin break out if overused. But it does keep your skin moisterized. Try other lotion though, like from the Body Shop, it works better.
Reply:I heard that Tyra Banks claims Vaseline is her beauty secret.

I use it to help moisturize my hands and feet in winter. You rub it on, then rub it in, and then put on socks or cotton gloves and sleep in them. You'll wake up with very soft skin.

Using too much might cause an acne breakout though.
