Reply:The phthalates (or plasticisers and fragrances) in these products are known to have human health risks such as:

In animal studies, phthalates cause an array of reproductive problems in male offspring, including small or otherwise abnormal testes, hypospadias (abnormal urinary openings), and undescended testes. In studies on people, boys born to mothers with greater exposure had altered genital development.

Phthalates may also cause asthma as well as liver and kidney damage.

Try Dry Skin Lotion from Sunflower Naturals. No phthalates, petroleum, animal testing or human health risks.
Reply:I have tried all 4 of the products you show, but none worked for me.I have finally found a product that really helps dry skin. The name is Aveeno moisturizer. With that and other products they have I am completely satisfied.

My skin matters?
Use whitening soap, cream, lotion. Look for any of the following effective whitening ingredient: arbutin, licorice, Vit. C, retinoic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, kojic acid. Apply all over the body and not just on the darker areas. Skin will be noticeably even-colored after 6-8 weeks of regular use.

Check out our website as we offer an extensive line of whitening products for your special whitening need. All products are proven safe and effecitve, dermatologist-tested and BFAD approved.

Reply:Did you gain a lot of weight during your pregnancies, or were you ever told that you had gestational diabetes? You may want to see your doctor and be tested for insulin resistance. Sometimes, dark skin in certain areas of your body means that your blood glucose level is too high. If this is the case, eating the right foods may help the situation you're trying to correct.
Reply:try something w/shea butter in it......
Reply:You can try cocoa butter lotions but have you been to a doctor for a wellness visit to determine whether or not it's a specific condition. I have suffered from eczema since I was eight over 95% of my body and my skin has been clear for the past year thanks to a product I use.

Dry skin problem!!?

A couple days ago, i used some of my sis's pimple cream(i had permission!). all i knew was that you were supossed to rub it in on the spot where the pimple was. Later, my skin was really dry , and my mom said it was cause of the cream. now, i have this area a little above my mouth with red dry skin. i dryed light lotions, and water,( also carmex, but that is too oily, and i got it off just in time). what can i do to clear it up?

PS: i am really neverous about it cause i have my 1st bf and i want to look nice, and it's a girl thing.

please answer!

Dry skin problem!!?
It sounds like you had a bad reaction to the chemicals in the product. Lotion will only dry out the area more due to the alcohol that is in it.

If your mom uses olive oil in the kitchen you're in luck! Wash the area and let it air dry or gently PAT it dry with a soft clean cloth. Apply a drop of olive oil- it is natural and nourishing to the skin. Yes it may seem oily at first- but just apply a drop and let it soak in. It should clear up within a couple of days. You can also use a chamomile tea bag to reduce the redness. After making a cup of tea with it- remove the tea bag and squeeze out the extra liquid- apply to the area as a compress for about 15 minutes.

first, go and get some like Bendroyl (for the allergic) they have day but you might want to take the one for night.

second, go get some aveeno products, perfer no frangance and also get some oatmeal bags from them or from the store brand.

get some warm bath (not hot, just semi warm and little hot) and put oatmeal in there.

do that daily and use their cream, it is really good.

also pray. I will pray for you to Buddha.

don't eat seafood, some ppl think that might cause allergic (we are not sure but just to be safe)

EMLA cream for tattooing?

I am looking in getting a fair sized piece running down my ankle and almost the full top of my foot. Would EMLA cream work well on these areas even though it is mainly skin to bone?

Also anyone with a foot tattoo, I regulairly need to wear running shoes and would this affect my tattoo short and long term after getting it done?

EMLA cream for tattooing?
Lidocaine/prilocaine work best on mucous membranes and will be effective only after they're begun tattooing you since then your skin's integrity will have been disturbed by the tattooing needle. But yes, EMLA cream is used for especially painful tattoos. A friend had it applied when he was getting his stomach tattooed.

Any kind of friction on a fresh tattoo (in your case the friction caused by your running shoes rubbing against your skin) tends to damage the tattoo while it's still in the healing process. This is so because your skin can't stay moisturized then, scabs form and those scabs pull the fresh ink out of your skin. Maybe find a temporary work-out alternative such as yoga where you can still get some cardio in but won't have to wear shoes. Since it's summertime, you can wear flip flops for a couple of weeks while the tat heals.

P.S.: A%26amp;D ointment is what you use for the first 3 days of the healing process AFTER you get your tattoo. It offers no desensitizing benefits.
Reply:I've heard A%26amp;D Diaper Ointment actually works really well for tattoos.
Reply:the only thing emla would do is numb it but make sure u put it on and wait anywhere from 30 mins to a hour
Reply:EMLA cream would work, but only if you use it properly. You have to rub it on the area you are going to get tattooed at least 30 minutes prior to the tattooing. Wrap it in some kind of dressing, so it will absorb into the skin. A good dressing is one called Tegaderm.

Good luck
Reply:I wouldn't recommend numbing it just because you don't know how it will react with A) your skin. B) the inks. Where I volunteer at, we recommend triple antibiotic A%26amp;D. Keep it light, but keep it constantly moist. Where ever you get your work done, though, follow through with what THEY tell you. They should give you written and verbal instructions on how to care for it and what to expect. As to running shoes, just tie it a little loser, be diligent with the after care creams, and DON"T SLEEP IN A SOCK THE FIRST NIGHT. You'll wake up and take half the tattoo off with the sock.
Reply:I've tried EMLA and LMX for tattoos and neither really did much to reduce the pain, even with pre-application 45 minutes prior and re-application during the tattoo. Topicaine DID work well for me, plus it's a water-based gel rather than a cream. Apply 30-45 minutes before your appointment, then re-apply when you take a break (like between outline and shading, shading and color). Leave it on for about 5-10 minutes before starting up again.

I don't have any foot tattoos, so no advice to offer there, sorry! You might try a very smooth-textured sock to avoid the lint that often sheds off your average cotton sock.

Nappy cream on your face!?

I have read that nappy cream is good for your face...anyone use it on their skin? Why is it so good?

Nappy cream on your face!?
Forget all those expensive cosmetics; I recommend virgin coconut oil for your skin, hair and diet. I could list a dozen reasons why, but if you Googled "virgin coconut oil" you'd find them yourself. Since I've been using it about 2 weeks, my skin is softer, smoother, and NOT dry anymore, even I live in Southern California. My hair is unbelievable-I've never had such soft, shiny hair and it's down to my butt. I also have these dry skin patches on my legs from a medication. I've had them for years and absolutely hate them-they are SO ugly. But the virgin coconut oil is making them *disappear*.

You can get it from eBay item like this:

Reply:I haven't used it before but it should be good as babies have really sensitive skin so nappy/diaper cream will be really sensitive and help a lot and not many people will have allergies to it.

Vaseline As A Cold Cream?!?

Ive heard some people use vaseline as a cold cream(overnight use).

Does it really work?

Can it break your skin out?

Is it absorbed into your skin?

Vaseline As A Cold Cream?!?
Vaseline is a petroleum that is occlusive which means it sits on top of your skin but does not absorb. It wasn't made for cleansing our skin. It is used to cover or protect burns or cuts and to shine shoes. Since our skin and body is made up of water, vaseline is not attracted to water.
Reply:Vaseline is very greasy and can make your skin break out if overused. But it does keep your skin moisterized. Try other lotion though, like from the Body Shop, it works better.
Reply:I heard that Tyra Banks claims Vaseline is her beauty secret.

I use it to help moisturize my hands and feet in winter. You rub it on, then rub it in, and then put on socks or cotton gloves and sleep in them. You'll wake up with very soft skin.

Using too much might cause an acne breakout though.
